The working meeting on the "Classification and Evaluation Standards for Carbon Emissions from Data Center Operations" was held in Envicool
On May 20th, the third working meeting of the "Carbon Emission Grading Evaluation Standards for Data Center Operations" was held at the Envicool R&D Base in Beijing Future Science City. Envicool, as a participating unit, attended this conference to discuss with industry experts how to improve data center energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and achieve green and sustainable development.
Developing scientifically reasonable carbon emission grading evaluation standards for data center operations is of great significance for promoting the green and low-carbon development of data centers. After the standard is formulated, it will be used for the calculation and evaluation of carbon emissions during the operation of newly built or expanded individual data center buildings, as well as for the calculation and evaluation of carbon emissions during the operation of data center module units using independent power distribution and independent air conditioning cooling systems in buildings.
The representative of the chief editor unit of the standard summarized the relevant situation of the second work meeting and the results of communication and improvement with the participating units on the content of the standard to the attending representatives of each participating unit. At this meeting, there was a lively discussion on the progress and content of the standard preparation with the attending representatives. The attending representatives actively provided feedback on topics such as accounting boundaries, data quality control, carbon emission calculation, and evaluation levels, actively supporting the formulation and trial evaluation of standards, and contributing their respective efforts to promote the green and low-carbon development of data centers.
At the meeting, representatives shared the latest research results and technical practices, providing rich materials for the update and improvement of standards. At the same time, everyone also hopes that through the implementation of evaluation standards, the data center industry can be guided to strengthen energy conservation and emission reduction work, improve energy utilization efficiency, and reduce carbon emissions, in order to form a green and efficient development model in the data center industry and contribute to China's carbon neutrality goals.
After the meeting, representatives visited the Envicool Technology Experience Hall and had a comprehensive understanding of Envicool data center temperature control, data center integration, full chain liquid cooling and electronic heat dissipation, cabinet air conditioning, energy storage temperature control, cold chain temperature control, new energy and rail transit air conditioning, indoor air environment control and other businesses and products.
With the end of this work meeting, the preparation team, including Envicool, will further streamline their thinking, continuously innovate and polish, provide professional support for the compilation of the "Carbon Emission Grading Evaluation Standards for Data Center Operations", and promote the green and sustainable development of data centers!
